Prognosis
Reversible pulpitis has an excellent prognosis — pulp recovery rates >90% when the causative factor is adequately addressed.
Endodontically treated teeth have long-term success rates of 85-97% depending on pre-operative diagnosis, canal anatomy, and quality of obturation and coronal restoration.
The coronal restoration is critical: microleakage leading to bacterial recontamination is the most common cause of root canal treatment failure.
