Радикулярная киста — прогноз

Наиболее распространенная одонтогенная киста, возникающая на верхушке невитального зуба.

Prognosis

Excellent prognosis with appropriate treatment. After successful root canal treatment, most lesions resolve within 6-24 months.

Post-surgical healing is predictable; recurrence of radicular cysts is rare (unlike keratocystic odontogenic tumors or ameloblastoma).

Large cysts leaving a significant bony defect may require bone grafting to facilitate complete osseous fill.

If untreated, radicular cysts continue to slowly expand, potentially causing pathological fracture of the jaw, displacement of multiple teeth, or extension into the maxillary sinus.
